James Quiet About Request to be Cut
Tailback Edgerrin James declined to answer reporters' questions at length today about the recent reports, confirmed by agent Drew Rosenhaus, that the Arizona Cardinals denied his recent request to be released.
James has lost his starting job to rookie Tim Hightower and has become a virtually forgotten man in the Arizona offense. Even so, the Cardinals are unwilling to cut him loose to allow him to sign with a team of his choosing.
