L.A. Super Bowl Possible
According to the Los Angeles Times, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell indicated that the league is giving consideration to playing the 50th Super Bowl in Los Angeles in 2016.
"We've had discussions with people here that believe it would be good for this community," Goodell said Tuesday in Los Angeles, according to the Times. "I think there's interest within the NFL in doing more here in Los Angeles, and the 50th Super Bowl is an intriguing year for us."
The league continues to explore the possibility of having a team playing in Los Angeles within the next few years, but the Super Bowl apparently could be played there whether or not there's a franchise in the city by then.
"I think you need to look at the unique circumstances.... We have a great deal of interest in being in this marketplace," Goodell said, according to the Times. "It may initiate some momentum and some greater interest in having a franchise here, which is something we ultimately would like to achieve."
According to the newspaper, Goodell also left open the possibility of Los Angeles being a future host for the NFL draft, although the 2009 draft reportedly is to remain in New York.

Would be great if it ended up being a Rams-Raiders superbowl.
