Shuler Re-Elected
Rep. Heath Shuler (D-N.C.) won reelection to Congress on Tuesday.
The former quarterback for the Washington Redskins and New Orleans Saints defeated Republican challenger Carl Mumpower.
"I did what I said I would do and I think the people saw that," Shuler said, according to the Associated Press.
Former NFL coach Sam Wyche, a Republican, was elected to a county council seat in Pickens County, S.C.
