Union Narrows Candidate Pool
The NFL Players Association has narrowed its field of candidates for a new executive director to a little more than a dozen, the Associated Press reports.
No candidates are identified in the AP report.
The union is searching for a permanent successor to the late Gene Upshaw and plans to elect a new executive director in March. Longtime general counsel Richard Berthelsen is serving as acting executive director.
