Untested Broncos Backup
The Denver Broncos promoted quarterback Darrell Hackney from their practice squad.
He is to back up Jay Cutler--replacing Patrick Ramsey, who has been lost for the season because of an elbow injury.
The second-year pro from Alabama-Birmingham is yet to appear in a regular season NFL game.
The Broncos waived offensive tackle Matt Murphy, who'd been signed earlier in the week.
