Gilbride a Raiders' Candidate?
The Oakland Raiders reportedly will seek permission to interview New York Giants offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride for their head coaching job.
According to the report by ESPN, Gilbride will be interviewed but Raiders interim coach Tom Cable has a legitimate chance to retain the job.
Cable replaced Lane Kiffin four games into the season and has lobbied publicly in recent weeks to keep the job.
The Raiders could interview Gilbride this week since the Giants have a first-round playoff bye.
