Maualuga Aggravates Hamstring Injury
USC linebacker Rey Maualuga aggravated a leg injury while running a 40-yard dash today at the NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis.
Maualuga told the NFL Network, which is broadcasting the workouts at Lucas Oil Stadium, that he'd been bothered in recent weeks by a hamstring injury but wanted to try to participate in the combine activities.
"I didn't want to come out here and use my hamstring as an excuse," Maualuga told the league's television channel. "Unfortunately it's been bothering me, but I felt I could go. I wasn't pressured to do it. I thought I could go out and do the 40 and do it in a good time."
