Ravens About to Lose Scott to Jets?
The Baltimore Ravens could be on the verge of losing linebacker Bart Scott to the New York Jets in free agency.
According to a source familiar with the situation, Scott is closing in on a contract agreement with the Jets.
The deal would reunite him with recently hired Jets coach Rex Ryan, formerly the defensive coordinator of the Ravens.
The Ravens tried but failed to re-sign Scott on Thursday night before the 12:01 a.m. opening of the NFL's unrestricted free agent market.
Losing Scott seemingly would increase the urgency for the Ravens to re-sign fellow free agent linebacker Ray Lewis.
