Sanchez Will Throw at Combine

INDIANAPOLIS--USC quarterback Mark Sanchez will participate in the combine throwing drills, unlike Georgia's Matthew Stafford.

"It's neither here or there to me whether he throws or not," Sanchez said today. "That's just me. I've got to do it. I feel like I want to do it. I'm a competitive person. I want to win, and that's what I'm about. It would kill me not to throw. [It's] too fun."

Sanchez and Stafford have a friendly relationship, having met at an offseason quarterback camp. Yet Sanchez said he believes he should be drafted ahead of Stafford.

"I'd better think that," Sanchez said. "And I think he should think that, too. That's what we've got to think. As a competitor, that's all I want to do is be the best that I can be, and the best you can do in this draft is number one. So, sure."
