Burress to be in Court Tuesday

New York Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress is scheduled to be in court Tuesday.

Burress faces weapon possession charges and a possible jail sentence of 3-1/2 to 15 years in connection with the November incident in which he shot himself in the leg at a New York nightclub.

There have been recent reports that a potential plea deal is being negotiated, although such an agreement reportedly might include jail time for Burress.

The Giants have not indicated whether they will allow Burress to rejoin the team next season.
