Future International Franchise?

DANA POINT, Calif.--The NFL has made a push in recent years to increase its global popularity by playing regular season games at international sites.

Commissioner Roger Goodell said today he could envision the league eventually having a franchise based in a foreign city.

"That's exactly what our effort is," Goodell said. "That's why we've been playing these games in international markets.... We share that optimism about an NFL team being able to be successful in an international market."
