McNair Was Drinking Before Being Killed

According to the Associated Press, authorities said Monday that former NFL quarterback Steve McNair had a blood alcohol level twice the legal limit to drive when he was shot and killed on July 4 in a condominium in Nashville.

Feng Li, the Tennessee assistant medical examiner, said a toxicology report showed that Sahel Kazemi had a trace amount of marijuana in her body, according to the AP.

Kazemi, McNair's 20-year-old girlfriend, shot and killed McNair and then herself, police have concluded.

Kazemi was arrested for driving under the influence two days before the shooting and reportedly told a police officer that she was high.
