Tumultuous Times For Quarterbacks

These are tumultuous times within the ranks of NFL quarterbacks, especially with this week's news about the legal cases of Michael Vick and Ben Roethlisberger.

Check out our story in Sunday's print edition of the paper, a piece that serves as our lid-lifter to the opening of training camps league-wide.

For now, here's a quick look at the most compelling quarterback-related storylines as camps open:

Michael Vick... He's awaiting a decision by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell on his possible reinstatement.

Ben Roethlisberger... He faces a sexual assault allegation in a woman's civil lawsuit as the Steelers begin defense of their Super Bowl title.

Brett Favre... Another season, another un-retirement?

Tom Brady... Will he and the Patriots be the same after his knee injury?

Jay Cutler... Offseason spat with the Broncos put him in Chicago.

Tony Romo... No T.O., no Jessica Simpson, no more excuses.

Donovan McNabb... Has the sting of last season's benching against the Ravens subsided?

Eli Manning... The Giants weren't the same late last season without Plaxico Burress, and now he's gone.

Peyton Manning... Tony Dungy has retired. Marvin Harrison is gone, too.

Matt Ryan, Joe Flacco... They proved that rookie QBs can win, but now even more is expected.

Matthew Stafford, Mark Sanchez... The "rookie QBs never win" disclaimer isn't valid any more.

Jason Campbell... Do the Redskins really want him as their QB?
