Brees Leaves Saints For Mother's Funeral
New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees has left the team to attend his mother's funeral.
According to the Associated Press, Brees participated in the Saints' morning practice Sunday but was excused from their evening practice.
He is scheduled to rejoin the club Wednesday in Houston for a set of joint practices with the Texans, the AP reported.
According to the AP, a memorial service for Mina Brees is scheduled for Monday night in Austin, Tex.
