Burress Arraignment Set
Plaxico Burress is scheduled to be in court on Aug. 20 to be arraigned, the Associated Press reported, on the charges that he faces stemming from the incident last November in which he accidentally shot himself in the leg at a New York nightclub.
The former New York Giants wide receiver was indicted by a Manhattan grand jury this week on two felony counts of criminal possession of a weapon and one misdemeanor count of reckless endangerment.
According to prosecutors, Burress faces 3-1/2 to 15 years in prison if convicted of the weapon possession charges and up to a year in jail if convicted of the reckless endangerment charge.
