Quiet, For Now, at Eagles' Complex

PHILADELPHIA--It's less an hour before Michael Vick's introductory news conference at the Philadelphia Eagles' training complex in South Philadelphia, and Tony Dungy arrived in the building a little while ago.

Dungy, from the nearby Philadelphia airport, said during a morning radio appearance that he thinks Vick has a very good opportunity now that he has signed with the Eagles. He said he'd told Vick, in his capacity as an adviser, not to worry about the contract that he'd sign or the job that he'd be getting, but to put himself in a situation in which he could flourish.

Dungy said he'd spoken to about a dozen NFL coaches about Vick, and Vick had "bounced a number of scenarios off me" about opportunities with different teams.

Fox reported that the Cincinnati Bengals also made Vick a contract offer.

There was a long line of television news trucks lined up outside the Eagles' facility Friday morning, but there was no early sign of fans or protestors gathered outside the gate.

Vick's first practice with the Eagles is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
