Six Unsigned First-Rounders
With linebacker Aaron Curry's signing with the Seattle Seahawks, there are six unsigned first-round draft picks league-wide.
They are offensive tackle Andre Smith, the sixth overall selection by the Cincinnati Bengals; offensive tackle Eugene Monroe, the eighth overall choice by the Jacksonville Jaguars; defensive tackle B.J. Raji, the ninth pick by the Green Bay Packers; wide receiver Michael Crabtree, the 10th selection by the San Francisco 49ers; defensive end and outside linebacker Aaron Maybin, the 11th choice by the Buffalo Bills; and cornerback Malcolm Jenkins, taken 14th overall by the New Orleans Saints.
The Smith and Crabtree negotiations have been particularly contentious, people around the league have said, and there have been reports that Crabtree's representatives have told the 49ers he is prepared to sit out the entire season and re-enter the draft next year.
