Cards Get Extension
The Arizona Cardinals were granted a 24-hour ticket-selling extension by the NFL of the deadline to sell out Sunday's home game against the Houston Texans and avoid a local television blackout.
The extension expires Friday afternoon.
According to the Cardinals' Web site, fewer than 1,000 tickets remained available Thursday.
The club is aiming for its 37th consecutive home sellout.
Under NFL rules, a game must be sold out 72 hours before kickoff, barring an extension, to be televised in the local market of the home team.
