Faulk: No Contact With Checketts

Former St. Louis Rams running back Marshall Faulk said Sunday he has not been contacted by Dave Checketts about joining Checketts's investment group that's attempting to purchase the Rams.

"I would love to be a part owner," Faulk, now an analyst for the NFL Network, said on the league-owned television channel, according to a written transcript provided by the channel. "All of us up here would love to own an NFL franchise. That would be a great honor. But I haven't talked to them at all."

Faulk was mentioned in speculation about possible additions to Checketts's potential ownership group after the group dropped radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh as an investor on Wednesday.

"I'll listen to whatever it is they have to say," Faulk said, according to the transcript provided by the NFL Network. "If Dave Checketts called me and wanted to talk, I'd definitely listen to what he had to say."
