Fergie Could Become Dolphins' Part Owner

According to several reports, the NFL's team owners this week approved singer Fergie of the musical group the Black Eyed Peas as a potential partial owner of the Miami Dolphins.

The Dolphins reportedly have indicated, however, that the team and the musician have not worked out a formal deal for her to purchase a share of the franchise.

If she does join the Dolphins' ownership group, she would be the latest celebrity addition made by majority owner Stephen Ross following singers Gloria Estefan and Marc Anthony and tennis players Venus and Serena Williams. Estefan's husband, music producer Emilio Estefan, also has become a partial owner and the team has a marketing partnership with singer Jimmy Buffett.
