More games in London?
UPDATED (12:25 p.m.)...
According to a report by the BBC, the head of the NFL UK said he's hopeful that two regular season games will be played in London next season and perhaps as many as four games per season could be played there by 2012.
Alistair Kirkwood told the BBC: "We are talking to different teams to see who would be willing to do it.... We would like a game at the end of September and another at the end of October [next year].
"If we go to two games, the next step would be to go to four games per year. I would like to do that after the 2012 Olympics."
The New England Patriots play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this weekend at Wembley Stadium in London.
"This time we have the New England Patriots coming--the most successful team in the last decade," Kirkwood said, according to the BBC. "We stand a really good chance of moving to two games if this works out well.
"I like the idea of 85,000 people in the stadium--and that makes Wembley a favorite."
According to the Associated Press, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said Friday in London there's "every indicator" that the British market can support more games but declined to be more specific.
Goodell reportedly also reiterated that the NFL eventually could place a franchise in London.
