Pats' Taylor Has Ankle Surgery

New England Patriots tailback Fred Taylor reportedly underwent ankle surgery Thursday but expects to play again this season.

Taylor was hurt during last Sunday's triumph over the Baltimore Ravens.

He told the Florida Times-Union that he had a high ankle sprain and torn ligaments.

There is no timetable for his return but he told the Times-Union: "I'll know more once I meet again with the doctor. I will bounce back stronger. I know it. I've prayed on it."
