Pats' Thomas accepts deactivation

According to the Associated Press, New England Patriots linebacker Adalius Thomas said Wednesday he was shocked when he found out he would be on the team's inactive list for last Sunday's triumph over the Tennessee Titans but he's fine now.

Thomas said the interests of the team come before those of any individual player and only Coach Bill Belichick can answer whether the move was made to motivate Thomas, the AP reported.

Thomas last was deactivated for a game while healthy enough to play during his rookie season with the Baltimore Ravens in 2000.
