Sanchez makes hot dog donation

Television camera caught New York Jets rookie quarterback Mark Sanchez eating a hot dog on the Jets' bench during last Sunday's lopsided victory at Oakland.

Sanchez apologized but received some criticism. In response, he purchased 500 hot dogs and 500 hamburgers and donated them, along with buns and rolls, to a soup kitchen in New Jersey.

Sanchez said that he "wanted to turn it into a positive," according to the Associated Press.
