Seau to Rejoin Pats
BOSTON--Linebacker Junior Seau reportedly has agreed to a one-year contract to rejoin the New England Patriots.
Seau is to come out of retirement for a third time, and will be playing his 20th NFL season.
The agreement was announced by Versus, the television network on which Seau is hosting a show.
The Patriots have acknowledged having Seau work out for them and undergo a physical, but did not formally announce the signing Tuesday.
Patriots owner Robert Kraft said at the NFL owners' meetings here that he was hopeful Seau would rejoin the team.
"I'd love to have him part of our team for as long as he wants to," Kraft said.
