Westbrook update due Friday
Tailback Brian Westbrook didn't participate in the Philadelphia Eagles' practices Wednesday and Thursday.
His playing status for Sunday's game against the New York Giants at Lincoln Financial Field is to be updated after the Eagles' practice Friday.
Westbrook left Monday night's victory over the Washington Redskins at FedEx Field after suffering a concussion.
His injury and the possibility of him returning to play this weekend were mentioned several times during Wednesday's hearing by the House Judiciary Committee regarding the rate and severity of brain injuries suffered by NFL players.
