Another blackout in Jacksonville
According to the Associated Press, the Jacksonville Jaguars will have their home game Sunday blacked out on local television for the fourth time this season and perhaps could have the lowest attendance at home in franchise history.
The Jaguars failed to sell out Sunday's home game against the Kansas City Chiefs the required 72 hours in advance for the game, under NFL rules, to be televised in their local market.
It's the fourth local TV blackout of the season for the Jaguars. Owner Wayne Weaver said before the season that he expected all eight of the club's home games this season to be blacked out.
But, according to the AP, there is hope within the organization that a Dec. 17 game at home against the Indianapolis Colts will be sold out.
According to the AP, it's possible that Sunday's game will have a lower attendance than the franchise low--42,088--set Oct. 18 in a game against the St. Louis Rams.
