Broncos no longer unbeaten

BALTIMORE--The Denver Broncos fell from the ranks of the NFL's unbeaten, and did so with a major thud.

The Broncos allowed 24 second-half points here Sunday and lost to the Baltimore Ravens, 30-7.

Denver's record dropped to 6-1, leaving the Indianapolis Colts and the New Orleans Saints as the league's only undefeated clubs.

"It's hard to go through the season and not lose one... [but] it's very disappointing," said the Broncos' Josh McDaniels, who suffered his first loss as an NFL head coach. "I'm disappointed in myself and disappointed in the way our team played today.... You face a little adversity with a loss, and then you realize that maybe some of the things that you thought were good enough just aren't good enough."

The Ravens got a 95-yard touchdown return by Lardarius Webb on the opening kickoff of the second half, and never looked back from there.

Tailback Ray Rice ran for 84 yards and a touchdown. Quarterback Joe Flacco completed his final 14 passes of the game. He connected on 20 of 25 passes overall, matching the Ravens' single-game team record for completion percentage at 80 percent.

The Ravens ended a three-game losing streak and improved their record to 4-3. The Baltimore defense limited the Broncos to 66 rushing yards and 200 total yards.

"To play against an opponent of that caliber and play that well is huge," Ravens linebacker Jarret Johnson said. "We've got to build on that. The offense has had our back all year."
