Eagles readying for Westbrook return
Tailback Brian Westbrook practiced Friday and appears poised to return to the Philadelphia Eagles' lineup this weekend.
Westbrook missed two games after suffering a concussion and didn't practice Wednesday because of ongoing ankle issues. He underwent offseason ankle surgery.
However, he practiced Thursday and Friday and Eagles Coach Andy Reid declared Westbrook ready to play, according to the team's Web site.
Left tackle Jason Peters didn't practice all week and was listed as questionable on the official injury report. Peters suffered a sprained ankle during last Sunday night's loss to the Dallas Cowboys.
