Halftime in Philly
PHILADELPHIA--It's halftime in Philadelphia and, with first place in the NFC East at stake, the Dallas Cowboys lead the Eagles, 10-6.
The Cowboys converted a tipped-pass interception thrown by Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb into a first-quarter touchdown. Running back Tashard Choice scored on a two-yard run after taking a direct snap, with quarterback Tony Romo lined up at wide receiver.
The Eagles managed only a pair of field goals by kicker David Akers, and Romo directed the Cowboys to a field goal in the final seconds of the half after Philadelphia had drawn to within 7-6.
The Eagles were playing without tailback Brian Westbrook and lost left tackle Jason Peters, who limped off the field after suffering a first-quarter ankle injury. The Eagles indicated that Peters would undergo X-rays but have not yet announced the result.
