Chiefs avoid TV blackout
The Kansas City Chiefs avoided a local television blackout of their home game Sunday against the Buffalo Bills, the team announced Friday.
The Chiefs had been granted a 24-hour ticket-selling extension by the NFL.
Under NFL rules, a game must be sold out 72 hours before kickoff, barring an extension, to be televised in the local market of the home team.
The Chiefs last had a home game blacked out on local TV in 1990.
