Falcons' Babineaux arrested
Atlanta Falcons defensive tackle Jonathan Babineaux was arrested on a marijuana charge after a traffic stop Thursday night, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.
Babineaux was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, the newspaper reported.
A police officer found three bags containing a total of 40 grams of marijuana after stopping Babineaux and another man in Babineaux's 2005 Cadillac Escalade around 10:45 p.m. Thursday, according to the report.
Babineaux was released from jail around 5 a.m. Friday after posting $5,700 bond and is scheduled to meet with Falcons officials, according to the Journal-Constitution.
There is no immediate word if the team will permit him to play in Sunday's game at home against the unbeaten New Orleans Saints.
