Chiefs announce Crennel hiring
The Kansas City Chiefs announced the hiring of Romeo Crennel as their defensive coordinator, a move that had been previously reported.
Crennel returns to the league after sitting out this season following his firing as head coach of the Cleveland Browns.
The former defensive coordinator for the New England Patriots is reunited in Kansas City with former Patriots offensive coordinator Charlie Weis, just hired to run the Chiefs' offense, and former New England front office chief Scott Pioli, now the general manager of the Chiefs.
