Falcons' White added to Pro Bowl team

UPDATED (4:17 p.m.)...

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White was added to the NFC team for the Pro Bowl.

"I'm excited to be heading back to the Pro Bowl for a second year," White said in a written statement released by the Falcons. "My teammates played a huge part in my success this year and I have to credit them as well."

White had 85 catches for 1,153 yards and 11 touchdowns this season.

"I'm excited to see Roddy be recognized for a fantastic season," Falcons Coach Mike Smith said in a written statement. "Roddy contributed to this team in numerous ways and his addition to the NFC team is well deserved."

White replaces Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Sidney Rice on the NFC team.

Another Vikings player, defensive tackle Kevin Williams, also withdrew from the Pro
Bowl and was replaced by San Francisco 49ers defensive tackle Justin Smith.

Rice and Williams joined Vikings teammates Brett Favre, Percy Harvin and Antoine Winfield in withdrawing from the Pro Bowl.
