Jags sign Chargers' special teams standout

The Jacksonville Jaguars signed Kassim Osgood, a wide receiver and special teams standout for the San Diego Chargers who was an unrestricted free agent.

Osgood was named to three Pro Bowls on special teams while with the Chargers, but was seeking an opportunity for more playing time on offense.

"I'm thoroughly excited to have a chance to contribute to a team on more than one level," Osgood said, according to the Jaguars' Web site. "It's something I've wanted for a long time."

Osgood signed a three-year contract with the Jaguars worth just less than $6.7 million, according to multiple reports.
