Back problems keep Shockey out of Saints' practice
Tight end Jeremy Shockey did not participate in the New Orleans Saints' minicamp practice Friday because of back problems, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune.
Saints Coach Sean Payton said Shockey was withheld from practice as a precaution and his absence was not related to a weight-room episode last week, according to the newspaper.
Payton said Shockey did not suffer a seizure last week, as had been reported. According to the Times-Picayune, Payton said Shockey had low blood sugar, was dehydrated and fainted.
