Bills Are Best of Trio

The Bills are absolutely for real. With Tom Brady's injury having diminished the Patriots, it's looking more and more like the Bills are the team to beat in the AFC East. They have a very good young quarterback in Trent Edwards. They're solid on defense and great on special teams, and when they get Marshawn Lynch revved up they'll be able to run the ball as well.

The Titans are a solid playoff contender, although I'm still not sure I consider them the favorite to win their division. They're playing great defense and Kerry Collins gives them more of a passing threat at quarterback than Vince Young did, but I still don't see this as a prospective Super Bowl team.

The Broncos so far are getting it done with mirrors. Ed Hochuli's botched call won a game for them, and they won Sunday when the Saints missed a field goal they should have made. That's not to say that it won't keep going like this for the Broncos all season. Sometimes it happens that way and a team remains charmed. Jay Cutler is the real deal and he has some terrific receivers at his disposal. But the defense isn't really stopping anyone and I'm not convinced yet that this team is all that good.

I don't see the big deal about Hochuli's blown call. Mr. Ed ruled in a way that helped the Broncos - why is that surprising?

As a die hard Bills fan I think that it is crazy that you "think" we are better than the Pats. I understand that everyone not from New England envies the Pats sucess and therefore causes us to talk bad and underate them. I however am a smart fan and understand that they are still head and heels above my beloved Bills.

Don't undervalue Trent Edwards and the Bills. And don't underestimate what Brady's loss means to the Patriots. They've gone from having a quarterback having the best season of all-time to having below-average quarterbacking. It's a quarterbacks' league and if you get poor play there and good play everywhere else, you're still going to struggle to win games.
