Win and They'll Come

You always want to have your fans there when you're playing at home. But when you have a good team in close proximity like Baltimore or Pittsburgh, there's always a chance you can have something like that happen to you. Some team's fans travel well. Some team's fans don't. Steelers fans travel well.

I was kind of surprised to see all those yellow towels there. I guess I was surprised mostly to see there were that many tickets available for those Steelers fans to get. Maybe the Redskins wanted to see how their team would react to that kind of environment. Maybe that's what Dan [Snyder] wanted. But I doubt it.

When we used to go on the road, I always used to hope our fans would travel and be there at the game. But it was tough in those NFC East cities like Philadelphia and New York. Tickets were tough for our fans to come by.

But the Redskins have a good team, and that's the most important thing to worry about. I'm a big fan of Jim Zorn. I think that was a great hire by Dan. If you put together a good team and play good football, most of those other things will usually take care of themselves in the long run.
