Depends Who's Talking


To me, it's all about which player is doing the talking.

Joey Porter?

That's okay. The guy backs it up. He's leading the league in sacks and could end up being the NFL defensive player of the year.

Remember that time when Freddie Mitchell created a stir by opening his mouth before the Super Bowl?

That's not okay.

A player needs to know his place in the game. He puts the spotlight on himself when he has some provocative things to say. As long as he performs well in that spotlight, fine. Otherwise, he's not worth the headaches that he creates for his coach and his teammates, and he'll soon be looking for work.
