The Combine Sells

The Combine, not unlike the draft, the release of the latest Madden video game, or the buildup surrounding Monday Night Football coming to your city, has become an integral part to the NFL's being a 365 day a year business.

It affords the NFL, its scouts, pundits, and fantasy players yet another chance to debate the pros and cons associated with the up and coming crop of athletes.

For the players, the Combine is a chance to begin building their brand at the highest level because it has moved from being merely a series of workouts to a talent showcase.

The Combine has become an event that is not only followed by old-school Draftniks, but also all of those looking to make money from or through the NFL.
