Washington Nationals Right Fielder

They're Both Fun

Washington Post Reporter Barry Svrluga interviewing:

What do you like about Fantasy Football?

"Money." [laughs] "I like football as it is, but it kind of takes it to another level. It just gets you a little bit more into it, and you follow your players. You're the GM of your team. You can try to screw people over in a trade. That part's fun.

"I guess it's something like if you're a real GM, though. It's not just your players. You know who the backups are and the second-stringers, waiver wires, stuff like that."

What do you like about March Madness?

"Just the action. And obviously, the underdogs. That's such a big part of March Madness. There's always a 12 seed that beats a 5. and then you have something like Davidson last year, who makes the run. And then I love the one-and-done. You lose, there ain't no double-elimination or anything like that."

"I grew up in Lexington [KY]. You're kind of born into it. You don't really have a choice. I think, with March Madness too, I like that you have to play every other day in the rounds of the NCAA tournament, I like seeing the coaching part of it. You don't have a week to prepare."
