Vick Raids the Bay?

Let's run through a checklist of how compatible Michael Vick would be with the Oakland Raiders:

The Raiders have a long and storied history of acquiring oddballs, misfits and outright reclamation projects. Check.

They could use another quarterback to bridge the gap between JaMarcus Russell, 23, and Jeff Garcia, 38. Check.

They have an elusive tailback in Darren McFadden who paired with an equally elusive quarterback could wreak havoc in a version of the Wildcat. Check.

Oakland is about as far away as you can get from Atlanta and the firestorm of controversy there. Check.

Raiders fans, especially in The Black Hole, would have no trouble embracing a player with a prison record. Check.

Looks like we're 5 for 5, so Al Davis, what are you waiting for? Pick up the phone, give the man a call and get him on a plane to the Bay Area.

I think your 50% right... but the team by the bay that should sign Michael Vick is the San Francisco 49ers. They have 2 QB's which really means they don't have any... After 6 weeks their QB position could be a question mark no matter who plays (Alex Smith or Shaun Hill). They drafted a #1 receiver in Michael Crabtree & they have a good ground game with Gore, or they could if they can spread the field. Also, the chance to play for Mike Singletary, a disciplinerian, would do wonders for Michael Vick. This my friend is the best place & the place that would provide Vick the opportunity to compete for the QB position. He needs to be a QB, not a running back or a gimmick in the Wildcat...

Geez WP I have to subject myself to Pop-Up ads Now too? Your getting as ridiculous as CNN and the former AOL web browser. Pop Up Ads was the demise of AOL too...

Vick would be better off taking a year off like R. Williams did & play in the Canadian League before coming back to the NFL. That way no undue pressure is on him & the PETA fans will have a year to forget about him.
