Pick Peyton

As much as the homer in me wants to say Brett Favre in response to this question, at this point in time, I can't honestly take anybody except Peyton Manning as the guy I'd want quarterbacking my team if I had to win one game.

Manning has been playing on a simply insane level all season long, and in my opinion is lapping the field in the race for NFL MVP. Who else could take a couple of rookies like Austin Collie and Pierre Garcon, mix them in with a new head coach, subtract the great Marvin Harrison, and still throw for 300+ yards in five consecutive games? Only one guy that I can think of.

Peyton Manning is already a lock for the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and he's not showing any signs of slowing down. Sure, he may not have the playoff success of Brady or Roethlisberger or the mind-blowing numbers that Drew Brees put up last season. . .but if I my team had one game for whatever prize you'd care to name, I wouldn't dream of taking anyone but #18. He's a model of consistency that always manages to keep his cool under pressure. Yes, he's also on your television set every thirty seconds or so hawking everything from televisions to credit cards to identity theft protection, but in between all of that, he moonlights as one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time.

One game for all the marbles? Give me Peyton Manning.
