Frankly, the NFL will catch on just as well abroad as football, I mean, soccer has caught on with fans in the US. Not very well at all....

These guys are smoking something. 'Gridiron' (as it's also known in the wider - for which read non-American) world is a curiosity about which the rest of the world is, frankly, not all that curious. It's status outside the US will be like that of rugby inside the US - of passionate interest to small ex-pat communities and played by a small and isolated group of locals. Baseball is the same. Now if you lot would just learn to appreciate cricket . . .
