No prayer for the Saints

If the Colts played the Saints this Sunday, I'd buy tickets, because that would be one hell of a game. Hopefully the neutral field where it would take place is somewhere warm, because it's stupid cold in Indy today. (I had to dig out the winter coat AND the ice scraper.) I'd pack up my short-sleeved Super Bowl XLI Champs shirt or my Dallas Clark jersey and a pair of shorts.

I'd head on down to Tampa or whatever warm place was hosting the battle and watch the Colts win. Granted, they may not be ahead going into the fourth quarter, but Manning would sail a magic bullet or two downfield and connect with Pierre Garcon or Dallas Clark, and the Colts would - once again - pull ahead in the end. It might be a N'awlins thing, but the Colts seem to have the gris gris this year.

That's not to say I don't like the Saints - I cheered as loudly as any Saints fan Monday night and thoroughly enjoyed watching the faces of Brady and Belichick as the Saints picked apart the Patriots. However, I'd be cheering even louder as I sat in some warm, sunny climate drinking a nice cold beer and watching my Colts beat the Saints.

and then you'd wake up to the realization that the saints just destroyed those colts.
