Kazoo music football

Steve Sabol will be looking for kazoo players.

The NFL Films version of yesterday's entertaining and dramatic Vikings/Saints game may end with the "1812 Overture" but the heart of the game and especially the overtime interception, are deserving of a kazoo symphony orchestra.

And while the Colts and Jets put on an efficient display of NFL football, the real fun was the slapstick over in the NFC. The truth is that we watch sports because we don't know what is going to happen - unless you visit

And since sloppy football equals plot twists, we prefer plot twists. Just when you think something is going to happen, something else happens because somebody acts like a dimwit. In fact, mega-mistakes are memorable and the stuff of legend.

Plus, for most of us who've endured the off-season's top-rated soap opera for two straight years, the ending to yesterday's Vikings/Saints game was a dream come true. We can only hope for a sequel in a new city next year. I'll start practicing my kazoo playing now.

I do not hope for a Favre sequel if that is what you are implying. He should quit NOW.
