We won't know if he's the right choice for at least a year, but at least he's an experienced coach who has won a Super Bowl. If the Redskins owner can leave the football decisions to Shanahan and Allen, the Redskins might have a shot at improving to become a professional team again.

Time will tell if he is indeed, the right coach and therefore the right fix. What we can feel good about however, is that he will bring an air of professionalism to the entire organization that we haven't seen in the Redskins in quite some time.
I'm sure that I'm not the only fan that was not just frustraed that the team lost; but frustrated in the way they lost. At times it seemed both desicions on and off the field could be made by more qualified novices. This hire will will not only make us feel better about the organization's decision making process, but make us feel better about the qaulity of the product on the field.

We will know this time next year!

No. Nothing will change. There is absolutely no reason to think that anything Daniel Snyder does will work in any way at all. How will Shanahan succeed in doing what Joe Gibbs, a better coach and a better man, could not do? Do people not remember why he was fired from Denver - i.e., poor defense, bad draft picks, etc.?
