I've got grass to grow

So the combine kicks off this weekend, and as usual the NFL and its own network will have wall to wall coverage for fans that simply can't get enough. It's funny how this event has gone from simply guys working out to it being a multimedia event that has about as much hype as any other in the NFL offseason.

Watching the combine is a lot like watching grass grow. You are simply waiting and waiting for something or someone you know to do something, but it usually never does. It simply is what it is -- young kids running around doing drills in shorts and underwear.

Some guys you will remember when it's done, most you won't. If you want to waste your weekend trying to figure out if certain guys are going to be good or even great football players, be my guest.

I've got grass to grow.
