Minnesota hostage crisis

We are now into week 3 of the Minnesota Vikings hostage crisis in which Brett Favre is holding the franchise hostage - chained to his diminishing skills.

I expected Favre to throw a traditional heartbreaking interception at the end of the season but I figured he'd play the tease-the-media game along the way to his destined final mistake of the year. I didn't expect he'd be so bad, so old, so soon.

So yes, I am surprised by the suddenness and the severity of the Minnesota hostage crisis. I knew the team was chained to his ego and whims. I hadn't realized or maybe remembered how quickly the great ones lose it.

He still has weapons and he's sure to have a few good games this year, but I suggest the only way the Minnesota Vikings are going to the Super Bowl this year is with a ticket. And that's a surprising thought after only two weeks.
