Kolb deserves his chance

Before we answer whether Michael Vick can "return to form" we have to first remember what Michael Vick's prime "form" was. He was a guy who was deadly with his feet, had arguably the strongest arm in the NFL, but was inconsistent with his accuracy.

If that's the standard, then Michael Vick returned to form last week. I expect he'll pick up this week where he left off against Green Bay. He'll make some highlight plays with his feet, there's a chance he hurls a pass 65 yards in the air to a streaking DeSean Jackson, but I expect he's going to miss some easy stuff as well. That's who he is ... but that said, you could do worse than Michael Vick as your starting QB.

When Kevin Kolb comes back though, he'll be the starting quarterback. He had a rough time against the Packers, but one half bad half of football in week one doesn't unravel three years of plans. Kevin Kolb has outplayed Michael Vick by some margin over the past two seasons both in practices and in their limited game time. Even if Vick plays well against the Lions, Kolb still deserves his chance. A chance he's earned.
